The K-pop sensation is gearing up for a major comeback and a world tour in 2025, as announced by YG Entertainment’s founder and executive producer Yang Hyun Suk in a YouTube video on Sunday.

“I can’t say we have specific plans yet, but I think a lot of artists will be active simultaneously. There will be a highly anticipated comeback from Blackpink, and it will also be the year Blackpink starts their world tour,” Hyun Suk revealed.

Rookie girl group Babymonster and boy group Treasure are also preparing for their world tours. Additionally, Hyun Suk teased a new group, referred to as their “new monster,” although further details are still under wraps.

In the same video, Hyun Suk announced the iconic girl group 2NE1’s comeback and world tour for 2024, starting in Seoul this October, followed by Osaka in November, and Tokyo in December. The tour will extend into 2025.

Blackpink’s last release was their second studio album, “Born Pink,” in 2022. In December 2023, Blackpink renewed their contracts for group activities with YG Entertainment but did not renew contracts for individual activities.

In March 2023, Blackpink performed a two-night concert in the Philippines as part of their “Born Pink” world tour.

Recently, Lisa of Blackpink released her single “Rockstar” under her record label Lloud. Other members have also launched their own labels for solo activities: Jennie with Odd Atelier, Jisoo with Blissoo, and Rosé with The Black Label, a subsidiary of YG Entertainment.
