MANILA, Philippines — Manila Electric Company (Meralco) announced on Tuesday a reduction in electricity bills for April, providing much-needed relief for its consumers amid the scorching hot weather.
The company stated that the bill reduction is due to low generation and transmission charges, resulting in a decrease of P0.118 per kilowatt hour (kWh).
Customers who consume 200 kWh will see a P24 reduction, while those who consume 300 kWh will get a P35. For 400 kWh consumption, the drop is P47; for 500 kWh, it is P59, offering significant savings for all customers.
