After 13 years since James Cameron’s “Avatar” wowed its audience all over the world, “Avatar 2” is finally set to premiere on December 16, 2022.

According to a report from Variety, the sequel to the highest-grossing movie of all time will see the return of Sam Worthington’s and Zoe Saldana’s characters, this time with their children.

Moviegoers got to journey across the breathtaking land of Pandora in 2009, with the 3D movie technology adding to the exhilarating experience of “flying” with the Na’vi.

This time around, viewers will get to explore the underwater world of Pandora.

Other cast members of the film include Kate Winslet, Sigourney Weaver, and Stephen Lang.

A report from Screenrant gives an overview of Avatar 2’s plot, wherein Jake Sully and Neytiri’s family go into conflict with human invaders who attempt to steal and destroy their land’s natural resources again.

Sully’s tribe will then come across Winslet’s aquatic Metkayina clan along the storyline.

In her interview with Kevin McCarthy, Saldana says, “I think that you really have to brace yourself for it but it’s going to be an adventure that you will not forget.”
